Inlet measurements of the new Kloten/Opfikon wastewater treatment plant

2x Partially Filled Flow Measurement Stationary TF Nominal Size 1000

The Kloten/Opfikon wastewater treatment plant treats wastewater from Zurich Airport and the towns of Kloten and Opfikon. For more than ten years, the Kloten wastewater treatment plant has relied on STEBATEC measurement technology to ensure that wastewater treatment costs are billed according to the source. With the new construction of the WWTP, the latest technology was now also used: two stationary partially filled flow measurements TF of nominal size 1000.

  • Measuring method: Ultrasonic transit time difference, the flow speed is measured on 10 levels.
  • Measuring range: 20 l/s – 700 l/s per street
  • Commissioning: 2019

The TF Stationary Flow Measurement is a calibrated measuring channel for backflow-free flow measurement of wastewater, raw wastewater and rainwater in open channels or open channels.

Feedback

«Stebatec is very customer-oriented and takes our concerns seriously. The partially filled stationary flow measurement with the ultrasonic transit time difference measurement has proven itself. It delivers precise measured values (1-3% accuracy) and maintenance is also extremely simple thanks to the open design.»
